When is the race and where does it take place?
The 2012 Grand Shaftesbury Run will take place on Sunday May 27th 2012 at St.Giles House, Wimborne St.Giles, Dorset, BH21 5NH

Is there Parking?
Yes, parking will be available and will be free. Please follow the directions to Wimborne St.Giles and there will be signs from there.

How much does it cost to enter?
Below is a table of entry fees for the 2012 Grand Shaftesbury Run:
Half Marathon £25.00
10K £17.50
St. Giles Park Entrance for non runners (free for ages under 8 and over 65) £3.00 per person
£ 5.00 family discount
What is the closing date for entries?
Please note ALL entries must be received no later than Sunday May 13th 2012.
What do I get for my fee?
All entrants will receive a finisher's medal. This will be given after the race. Time and finish position will be recorded by a timing chip which you will receive in your race pack. It will be attached to your race number. You will need to cross both the start and the finish line in order for your time to be recorded by it.
When do Race Packs get sent?
Race packs will be mailed by Friday May 18th. If you have not received these by then, please telephone 01725 517 214 or email info@grandshaftesburyrun.com to make enquiries.
What is happening at St.Giles Park?
The race start and finish line will be in front of St. Giles House in St. Giles Park. The park will be open to family and friends not taking part in the race, but who wish to come and support and relax. There will be food, music and games available for children and adults and plenty of spots to sit and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in front of St. Giles House.
Is there any age limit on entry?
The minimum age for the 10km is 15 years or over on the day of the race and the minimum age for the half marathon is 17 years or over on the day of the race.
How can I enter?
Entry is by online and post. You can enter by clicking here.
After I enter - what then?
We will acknowledge receipt of your entry within 10 days of online submission or postal delivery.
Can I enter as part of a team?
Yes teams of 3 or more can enter. Please submit your team name in the registration form.
Is there a limit on entry?
At present there is no limit on entry however prospective entrants are advised to enter as soon as possible.
What time does the Race start?
The Half marathon will start at 10am and the 10km run will start at 11am. Gates to the park will open at 8.30am so participants will have time to register and get ready.
I'm coming from abroad - how do I get my race pack?
Please ensure your full postal address and contact details are included in your entry submission. For entrants living within the European Union, the address you provide will be used to post your race pack to you. Entrants from outside the European Union must collect their race pack from the race office on the Thursday or Friday prior to the race.
